What is a “Venture Studio”? Is it the same as an accelerator?
Traditional accelerators are short-term programs designed to help very early-stage startups rapidly develop their product and attract investment.
Venture Studios are year-long engagements that help industry leaders accelerate innovation through exposure to emerging technologies. Throughout our programs, we work with our corporate clients to identify their strategic objectives and goals, and identify technologies to address them.
Is the Macquarie Capital Venture Studio currently accepting applications?
Yes, applications will be open throughout the year. We'll be evaluating companies on a rolling basis.
What type of company is the Macquarie Capital Venture Studio looking for?
Qualified candidates have achieved significant momentum in the form of customers and revenue, and have raised at least a Series A. Ideal products and services will show the potential to leverage Macquarie’s existing portfolio of infrastructure and energy assets, and unlock new market opportunities across the energy ecosystem and the infrastructure value chain at large.
How are the final companies chosen?
On a rolling basis, companies will be reviewed by the selection committee. Finalists will be contacted for full team interviews.
What role is R/GA going to play in the program?
As part of the Venture Studio, companies will participate in an assessment during which their strategic needs are identified to inform a product/market plan. A customized team of R/GA’s award-winning strategists, technologists, designers, and consultants will then collaborate with the company to execute—providing the same transformative services offered to the agency’s Fortune 50 clients, and preparing them for future milestones including fundraising, pitching, and business development. At the end of the Studio, they'll have the opportunity to pitch to investors and industry leaders on Demo Day.
What role is Macquarie Capital going to play in the program?

What sort of networking and marketing opportunities will be available to Studio companies?
Throughout the program, companies will have access to curated networking opportunities, industry events, and other marketing opportunities.
